Fun Feature Friday: Prepping for Mockingjay

We have one month and a day until the release of Mockingjay, the third and last book in the Hunger Games series!!! 🙂

An exciting release like this one requires preparation. So here’s your Mockingjay pre-release prep list:

1. If you haven’t read Hunger Games or Catching Fire, get on it! Don’t worry. You’ll probably only need a minimum of one day and a maximum of three days to finish. It’s that good.

2. Find a midnight release party at a local bookstore. Personally, I’ll be going to the party at Barnes and Noble in Orem. Although I may pre-order the book, because it’s only $8.99 online at B&N.com.

3. Get yourself a countdown calendar, like the one here.

4. Watch some videos from Suzanne Collins.

5. You’ve read both Hunger Games books three (or was it five?) times each, and you need something to tie you over until August 24th. Here are a few similar titles: The Maze Runner by James Dashner, Girl in the Arena by Lise Haines, and Incarceron by Catherine Fisher.

Important Safety Information: While prepping for the release of Mockingjay, please remember to breathe. When jumping with excitement, please wear proper footwear and watch for low ceilings.

About Karen Krueger

I write for teens when I'm not chasing after two cute kids. I love to sing and eat cereal (though not at the same time), and I most certainly am not a vampire because I'm addicted to sunshine.
