Here are some fun giveaways and contests I’ve discovered today:
If you read my review of Christine Brodien-Jones’s The Owl Keeper and were interested in reading it, Goodreads is hosting a giveaway. There are two copies available and only about 320 people requesting it so far. Looking at the other giveaways, your odds here are pretty good.
Agent Kathleen Ortiz is hosting a contest on her blog, Neverending Page Turners. She’s giving away random YA and MG books to three winners. AND if you win, you have your choice of either a bookstore gift card, a note for a query critique, a note for a synopsis critique, a note for a first chapter critique, or an extra book.
Personally, I would love to have my first chapter critiqued. (Ack! That means I need to revise that baby!) So if you decide to enter, can you make sure to let her know that I’m the one who sent you over? 🙂 Pretty please.
Agent Suzie Townsend is also hosting a contest on her blog, Confessions of a Wandering Heart. She’s giving away a paranormal romance that she recently enjoyed–Deception by Lee Nichols. She’s giving away copies. Again, please mention me as your referral if you decide to do it. 🙂
P.S. Following these two agents blogs might actually be a good idea, too. Because agents have this wonderful tendency to give good writing and submitting advice. 🙂
